Last Sunday saw Nomansland take on Braunton Kelseen in their first ever home North Devon League fixture. Winning the toss and putting the opposition in to bat allowed for Nomansland’s bowlers to take early wickets and keep runs to minimum. Tight spells from Ed Carter, Ash Wreford and Greg Cole kept runs to a minimum. However, Kelseymen opener J Whittaker found excellent form with a 91*. A great spell from Jacob Cole left Nomansland a target of 196 to win. The opening partnership of Ed Pincombe and Henry Hare proved very lucrative but it was number 3 and 4, Ed Carter and Oli Lowe respectively, that took the game away from the opposition. 50s for the pair of them were well deserved with Oli carrying his bat. A comfortable win in the end with more than 10 overs to spare saw Nomansland victors on the day. Well done to the whole team
